Intermediary of Scholarship and Training Fund
announces the third Open call for proposals
Scholarship and Training Fund appointed within EEA Financial Mechanism and Norwegian Financial Mechanism aims to contribute to the development of social and economic cohesion within European Economic Area through facilitating cooperation in the field of education between Poland and the donor-countries: Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein.
The Scholarship and Training Fund shall support the following measures within the second call for proposals:
Financing: lump sum depending on the period of mobility.
Financing: lump sum depending on the period of mobility.
Financing: up to 5 000,00 €.
III. Individual Mobility Grants
Financing: lump sum depending on the period of mobility.
IV. Inter – Institutional Cooperation Projects
Financing: from 5 000,00 € to 100 000,00 €. Grants from the Fund will not exceed 90 percent of total cost of the project, the remaining cost of at least 10 percent of the project should be provided by the Beneficiary.
V. Development of Polish Higher Education Institutions
Financing: from 20 000,00 € to 250 000,00 €. Grants from the Fund will not exceed 90 percent of total cost of the project, the remaining cost of at least 10 percent of the project should be provided by the Beneficiary.
Eligible Applicants:
- schools and high schools,
- doctoral students and young researchers,
- individuals representing institutions active in the field of education,
- educational and research institutions,
- other organisations and institutions active in the field of education (on every level of education: primary, secondary, bachelor, master, doctoral and adult education).
The following activities can be financed within Scholarship and Training Funds:
- courses of Polish language and culture and courses of languages and culture of EEA countries,
- mobilities of doctoral students and young scholars in order to conduct research in educational and research institutions,
- individual study visits of representatives of different institutions and bodies active in the field of higher education, vocational education and adult education,
- activities aiming at enhancement of cooperation between educational institutions from Poland and donor countries,
- activities aiming at improvement of quality of education and institutional capacities of Polish system of education,
- activities aiming at development of study programmes,
- improvement of organizational capacities of Polish higher education institutions,
- activities aiming at improvement of quality of study programmes offered by Polish higher education institution in foreign languages.
The total possible amount of funds to be distributed between beneficiaries within this Call for Proposals is:
Applications should be filled on-line and after printing and signing should be submitted from 1st February until 31st March 2009 at the latest by two alternative ways:
- personally at the office of the Foundation for the Development of Education System (until 4 p.m.) or
- by sending it on address:

In case of application sent by regular mail or delivery service, the post stamp date or consignment note date will be considered.
Applications should be sent in two copies (one original – printed from the online system, originally signed and stamped and one duplicate).
Application forms should express the grant amount in Polish currency. To convert the amounts between EUR and PLN, applicants should use the exchange rate published by the National Bank of Poland (NBP):
