Mobility Projects

Measure I - Mobility projects involves the following activity categories:

Student Mobility:

  • Travel abroad of Polish students and visits of foreign students for a study period from 3 to 12 months (during one academic year), including language courses (participation in an intensive language course in the host country before or during the study period);
  • Travel abroad of Polish students for practical placements to partner institutions, companies or organisations for a period from 3 to 12 months (during one academic year), including language courses (participation in an intensive language course in the donor country before or during the study period).

Staff Mobility

  • Travel abroad of Polish academics to foreign partner Higher Education Institutions and visits of foreign academics in Poland with the purpose of holding classes/lectures in the amount of minimum 5 hours, for a period from 1 day up to 6 weeks;
  • Travel abroad of Polish academics to foreign partner Higher Education Institutions and visits of foreign academics in Poland with the purpose of participation in seminars, training sessions, workshops, conferences, improving their skills and qualifications, sharing of experience, knowledge extension, for a period from 1 day up to 6 weeks;
  • Work shadowing – an internship both for Polish academics in Higher Education Institutions of the donor countries and of foreign academics in Poland, for a period from 1 day up to 6 weeks.
    Organisation of Mobility
  • Preparation and execution of visits of students and academics as part of the mobility by the host Higher Education Institution (each preparation and execution activity in terms of the student/academic mobility, such as: information, promotion, monitoring, exchange reporting).

Applicants

The co-funding eligibility within the framework of the STF - Mobility of University Students and Academics can be extended to:

  • Polish Higher Education Institutions holding the Erasmus University Charter, willing to obtain money from the Fund in order to finance student and academic mobility as part of the project with Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein;
  • Students and HEI staff interested in travelling to Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein should submit their applications and other documents in line with the home HEI requirements. The information should be sought in the first place on the university’s website. More detailed questions will be answered by an Erasmus coordinator in charge of communication at a faculty or university level as well as persons responsible for the programme implementation in the university.

A Polish Higher Education Institution may cooperate, at its free option, with any number of Higher Education Institutions from the donor countries provided it has signed a bilateral agreement for the Erasmus Scheme implementation, and shall apply the principles and procedures provided under the Erasmus scheme.

Project duration

A single Mobility Project lasts up to 15 months.
Financing principles

Student Mobility

Additionally: EUR 500 per person as a lump sum to cover costs of travel and insurance. No invoices or bills from individual beneficiaries (students or staff) are required

Co-financing for staff from the donor countries visiting Poland
  • EUR 120 per day, for visits under 7 days
  • EUR 610 per week, for visits lasting 7 days or longer, but shorter than one month *
  • EUR 1220 for the 1st month *
  • EUR 650 for the 2nd month and following months *
Additionally: EUR 500 per person as a lump sum to cover costs of travel and insurance. No invoices or bills from individual beneficiaries (students and academics) are required.

* - If a visit at a partner college/university lasts longer or shorter than a full lump sum period, the lump sum granted should be proportionately reduced or increased.

Eligible costs
  • Cost of travel and insurance of individual beneficiaries;
  • Living expenses of individual beneficiaries while abroad;
  • Fees for the language course in one of the donor countries, paid by a Polish student to an institution in the EEA EFTA country, offering such a language course and culture orientation; this fee is refundable to the student by the home university from the STF funds;
  • Costs of organisation of mobility incurred by the receiving HEI.

Payment of advances and project settlement schedule

  • Advance payment – up to 70% of the total grant amount, payable after signing the contract;
  • Interim payment – up to 30% upon acceptance of the interim report;
  • Balance payment (if applicable) upon acceptance of the final report
